  Stunning Sri Lanka - This was our first visit to Sri Lanka & what an incredible experience. We absolutely loved everything we did throughout our 8 day tour. Sanda was our guide & driver... read more & what a passionate & knowledgeable man he is. Nothing was too much trouble for Sanda. His air conditioned van is extremely comfortable & we felt very relaxed with him behind the wheel (driving in Sri Lanka can be very challenging!) We were so impressed with Sanda & his willingness to accommodate our interests. Adapting the itinerary in accordance with the weather was clever & definitely worked in our favour. Seeing wild elephants in the morning & exploring ancient temples in the afternoon ( with lunch planned by Sanda at a local restaurant eating delicious food prepared by locals & enjoyed with an icy cold beer!) All of our hotels were exceptional and again carefully selected to suit our needs. Sri Lanka is a beautiful country & of course we can't wait to return ( of course we will be carefully planning our next trip under the guidance of Sanda & his tour company ) Thank you so much for sharing your country & your time with us Sanda. My husband and I did 18 nights, and my father joined us for the first 14 too. Everything was seamless and enjoyable due to Sandamal's organisation, knowledge and connections - he will find the you the best of the best everywhere you go!

I've done lots of travel before on group tours, and solo. But never like this on a private tour. In previous group tours it obviously isn't tailored to you exactly and is around the same cost if not more still! You also have no say in the itinerary when going on these larger group tours. And going solo "figuring it out when you get there" is great if you are travelling for months and don't mind spending hours every few days on your trip planning things. Whereas this holiday, we wanted to just rock up and not have to think! All the communicating and planning was done with myself and Sandamal prior.

Sri Lanka is now my favourite country to holiday. It is far more beautiful than expected, as are the people. The hotels are immaculate, we chose 4 and 5 star and found them still so cheap compared to Australia!! Sandamal's van is super comfortable and he supplies you with snacks and drinking water each day too. I highly recommend booking with Sri Lanka Tour Plan!
